Every machinist will eventually have to make or use taper pins. So, this month's helpful tip for you to download and print includes tables of metric and standard taper pins sizes. This download consists of 3 pages.  The metric table shows the metric diameter at the small end measuring from 1 to 20 millimeters and the length of taper pins from 10 to 150 millimeters. The standard table shows the diameter at the small end from .1306 to .6665 and the proper drill sizes to use. The standard table also shows the length of the pins from 1/2 inch to 5 1/2 inches.
