July 2024 Tip: Tables of Cutting Speeds

These tables of cutting speeds are for metric, fraction, letter, and number size drills, which I'm providing as a free download. They provide speeds as follows: 

Metric Drills

Cutting speeds for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 120 meters per minute.

Revolutions per minute are provided for the following diameters in mm and their coinciding meters per minute listed above:
1.5, 2. 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, 10.5, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70.

Fraction Drills

Cutting speeds for 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150 feet per minute.

Revolutions per minute are provided for the following diameters in inches and their coinciding feet per minute listed above: 1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1-1/8, 1-1/4, 1-3/8, 1-1/2, 1-5/8, 1-3/4, 1-7/8, 2, 2-1/4, 2-1/2, 2-3/4, 3

Letter Drills
